PALEO DIET

Start: Sunday, January 5 End: Saturday, February 1 (2/2 = SuperBowl Sunday)

Begin each day with 6 points (see point system below) - eat real foods (meats, eggs, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fruits, and oils) and keep all six points. However, each time you violate one of the six criteria listed below, you lose a point. Violate multiple criteria, lose multiple points.

Daily Point System:
1. Do not eat dairy: No milk, creamers, butter, cheese, yogurt etc…
2. Do not eat grains: No bread, rice, pasta, corn, oatmeal or any gluten-free pseudo-grains (like quinoa).
3. Do not eat legumes: No beans, lentils, and no peanuts/ peanut butter.
4. Do not eat sugars of any kind, real or artificial: No syrup, honey, agave, Splenda, Truvia, Stevia, etc..
5. Do not eat processed foods: No protein shakes, Zone or Balance bars or dairy-free creamers, etc…
6. Do not drink alcohol, in any form.

Bonus opportunities: (one point each)

(1pt) Sleep 8.5+ hours (uninterrupted): each night you get 8.5 or more hours of sleep, earn one bonus point.
(1pt) Complete a WOD, at FCCF, earn one bonus point (limited to 1pt per day)

Community Points:

(1 pts) for every “Paleo Picture” you post to your Facebook page (please tag FC CF! This should include the name of the dish, the recipe, and a short write-up about your thoughts and or recommendations of the item (see past examples below). Tack on an additional 2 pts (total of 3 possible) if this information come to us by way of video (please keep all videos under 3:30 minutes) Additional points may be awarded for creativity!! (limit to three per person)

(6 pts) for attending the SacTown Throwdown on January 11 (either as a spectator or as a participant). There is will also second opportunity for 6 bonus points for attending a Mystery WOD on Saturday, January 25th. Details still to come!

Points are awarded on the honor system. Cheaters are not welcome. Period.

Paleo Challenge WOD Results

Paleo Challengers are also required to complete our selected WOD - TWICE - over the course of this challenge. We’ll knock the first one out leading up to the challenge, record our scores and then make a second attempt at this same WOD to close out the 28 days of sobriety and caveman nutrition! The results of your improved performance will be considered in calculating your final score.
